The Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia, sees design at the forefront of rapid and ongoing change in industry, commerce and all aspects of social and community life. In a world of constant flux, education provides a valuable key to innovation, adaptability, personal growth and professional sustainability.

Founded in 1988 and acknowledged for its high standard of design education, Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia, offers a Bachelor of Design, specialising in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling & Creative Direction.

Accredited Vocational Education qualifications are also offered part time by Whitehouse's Sydney and Melbourne campuses - you can choose the course that suits you best with everything from a Certificate III to an Advanced Diploma.

An accredited VET in Schools Certificate II program is also available for Year 11 & 12 students in NSW and VIC, and Design Beginnings Workshops in drawing, illustration and design presentation are offered during school holiday periods for all ages from secondary school onward.

With centrally located campuses in the heart of both Sydney and Melbourne, Whitehouse offers a unique learning environment that encourages conceptual development, research and experimentation, and innovative design outcomes in a variety of studio and technical environments.

The Institute sustains a unique learning environment designed to induct students into studio practice, working individually and in groups, and to prepare motivated and reflective practitioners for careers in design and related industries.

Courses focus on creative development through drawing, design and fabrication, together with an appreciation of the importance of design history and aesthetics. Whitehouse students also leave with enhanced visual, verbal, written and interpersonal communication. Underpinning this is a commitment to collaboration and shared diligence from staff and students in progressively acquiring the essential specialist insights, design skills and knowledge required to work as a professional designer in a range of creative and technical roles in industry.
